policosanol (also Montanylalcohol,  Policosanol, and in Japan Koranylalcohol) is a kind of natural higher aliphatic alcohol, which widely distributes in the skin and organs of animals, wax secreted by insects and lipids of plant roots, stems, leaves, hulls and seeds in free or bound (wax esters) forms.
